Obituary for Annette Banai-Penas
ANNETTE BANAI-PENAS
March 12, 1968 - April 5, 2024
Annette, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully early Friday morning on April 5, 2024, after a 6 year battle with ovarian cancer. Her courageous battle with cancer was a testament to her extraordinary strength and resilience. Despite the hardships, she maintained her radiant optimism and continued to uplift and inspire everyone around her.
Annette was born in Jackson Heights NY on March 12, 1968, to Antonetta and Janos Banai; soon after the family moved to Lindenhurst NY in 1971. Annette was a proud graduate of Lindenhurst High School and Farmingdale State College, where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. She spent 10 rewarding years as a preschool teacher at St. Boniface Day Care Center.
Annette is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Ariel; her beloved daughter, Annabella; her father Janos Banai.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing her. Annette's memory will forever be cherished and her love will continue to warm the hearts of those she touched.
May she rest in peace, and may her legacy of bravery, courage, and love continue to inspire us all.
Services to honor and remember Annette will be held at Lindenhurst Funeral Home, 424 So. Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, on Wednesday April 10 from 7 pm to 9 pm and Thursday April 11 from 7 pm to 9 pm.
