Obituary for Christina Loiacono

Christina “Chris” Loiacono (LoPresti) passed away peacefully on February 18, 2024 at the age of 95 at Solaris Healthcare, Stuart Fl. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 3, 1928 to Joseph and Anna LoPresti (both deceased). She was the wife of the late Charles Loiacono. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Camille Durante and son-in-law Ronald Durante, and her brother Thomas LoPresti.

Christina grew up and resided in Brooklyn. She then moved to Dix Hills NY, and later resided in Boca Raton, FL and Boynton Beach, FL. She graduated from high school with honors. Chris was an excellent student and had a knack for languages. She spoke Spanish fluently as well as French and Russian. She loved learning and believed in taking vitamins, both of which likely contributed to her sharp mind even in old age. She and her husband ran a successful insurance business-Charleston Brokerage. Above all, she loved being with her family and enjoyed special relationships with her grandchildren. She was a phenomenal cook and host. Chris had the “gift for gab.” She always loved having someone to talk to, especially in the past several years when her mobility was limited. She was generous with her time, her advice, and her charitable disposition. Everything she did, she did with love.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony and Charles Loiacono (Karina) and her daughter-in-law, Carol Loiacono, her grandchildren: Ronald Durante (Kathy), Charles Loiacono (Melissa), Thomas Loiacono, Alaina Smeigh, Christina Durante (Josh), Christina Caruso (Mark), and John and Anthony Loiacono. Additionally, she leaves behind several great-grandchildren: Ronald Durante, Kylie Loiacono, Matthew and Daniel Gross, Ashlyn Loiacono, Nicholas and Dante Caruso, and Celine Jolie Fremed, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins.
