Francesca “Frances” Aniello
October 28, 1924 – October 10, 2022
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Frances Aniello passed away peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter by her side on October 10, 2022, just a few weeks shy of her 98th birthday.
Frances was born on October 28, 1924, in Staten Island, New York. She was the daughter of Giuseppe and Anna Ferrante, who both emigrated from Toritto and Palombaio, Italy respectively.
Frances married Ignazio Aniello on July 25, 1942, and they loved and supported each other and traveled the world together for 62 years. They moved from Brooklyn to Lindenhurst, New York where they raised their family and started a lifelong tradition of being the meeting place for extended family Sunday dinners at their home.
For nearly fifty years Frances spent her winters at their second home in Hollywood, Florida where she enjoyed entertaining and hosting family and friends. She had a passion for cooking and entertaining and she will forever be remembered for her annual Christmas Eve seafood dinner and her famous lobster sauce.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Vito, Frances (Anthony), Joseph (Linda): nine adored grandchildren: Frances Manziak (Steve), Michael Aniello (Marlene), Anthony Natale (Jennifer), Paul Natale (Barbara), Dawn Natale, Nicholas Natale (Alaina), Joseph Aniello, Christina Aniello and Michael Aniello: and nine great grandchildren: Stephanie and Jessica Manziak, Leah Aniello, Isabella and Olivia Natale, Leo-Paul Natale, and Nicholas, Emry and Jaida Natale.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Ignazio; and siblings Leonardo, Francesca, Joseph, Nicholas, Benedetta, Nardine, and her parents: Giuseppe and Anna.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 13th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home. A service will be held on Friday, October 14th at 9:30am and Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, followed by interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
