Obituary for Gasper Santo Accurso

Gasper "Gabby" Santo Accurso of Bayshore, NY passed away on Sunday March 21,2021 at the age of 80.
Gabby is survived by his daughter Michelle, son Gasper, son-in-law Matt, daughter- in-law Agnes, 3 grandchildren Zachary, Dylan and Ella, sister Rosalie, brother in-law Joe, sister in-law Phyllis and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Rosemary who passed away November 4, 2018, his parents Vincent and Victoria and his brother Tony. Gabby was a loving father, husband, grandpa, father-in-law and friend to all.

Gabby was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 24, 1940. Gabby served in the US Army and was awarded the parachutist badge. Gabby was employed by Grumman and worked on the Lunar Module that went to the moon, his name was listed on a plaque that was placed on the moon. He than worked for Utica Auto body as a mechanic with his father and brother for many years.

Gabby loved to watch baseball (Mets) and football (Jets). He also loved his baseball card collection, fishing, sitting on the patio with his wife having coffee, he adored his 3 dogs Abbey, Boscoe and Teagan. He was the most loving father and grandfather to his children Michelle and Gasper and grandchildren Zach, Dylan and Ella. Also, to Matt and Agnes who he considered a son and daughter, you both were his rock. Please know that everything that you both did for him was engraved in his heart and he loved you both so very much.
A special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, PA's, NP's and all staff of Northwell Health for the loving care and support they not only gave him but his family as well over the years. Your services and dedication will be forever appreciated and admired.

A time of gathering will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Lindenhurst funeral home in Lindenhurst, NY. Funeral services will be on March 26,2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lindenhurst, NY. Gabby will be laid to eternal rest next to his wife Rosemary at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
