George R. Schroeder of Lindenhurst, NY passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Ann for 64 years. Loving brother of Dolores. Devoted father of Nadene (John), Scot and George (Ruby). Cherished grandfather of Michael, Christopher, Benjamin, Sophia, Alexa, Matthew, and Michael, and great-grandfather of Ellie. His zest for life, passionate love for his family, and profound wisdom has left an indelible imprint on us all, that will be carried throughout future generations. A celebration of George's life will take place at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home, 424 South Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY, on Saturday August 8, 2020 from 2:00-4:00pm, concluding with a short service at 4:00pm.
