Irma Parisi, age 86, passed away on May 30, 2020 surrounded by her family. Irma was born on September 24, 1933 to Massenza and Santo Filippi. She was married to the love of her life, Livio Parisi, in July, 1956. Livio preceded her in death in 1985.

Irma loved her family. She was generous with her time and enjoyed the activity and chaos that came along with a large and loving family. For more than 35 years, Irma taught in the Lindenhurst Public School District where she had a positive impact on hundreds of children. Irma shared the traditions of her Tyrolean culture with her family. It gave her great pleasure to teach her children how to prepare a Tryolean meal for the family who then gathered around the table to listen to stories and enjoy music.

Irma was a role model for her 10 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters; Leigh, Brittany, Dana, Nicole, Samantha, Amanda, Jacquelyn, Michaela, Emma, Carli, Adeleigh and Maeleigh. Irma is also survived by her four children and their spouses; Joseph & Pat Parisi, John & Donna Parisi, Laura & Michael Maertz and Lynn & Thomas Modafferi.

In her later years; Irma met Joseph Zuech and spent 23 happy years making even more memories with her family and Papa Joe.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Irma’s honor.
