Obituary for John J Crisostomo
John J. Crisostomo, a life-long resident of Copiague, NY, died unexpectedly on December 30, 2021 at the age of 52. John is survived by his parents Theresa and James, his son John Patrick, his brother Anthony and sister-in-law Brigid, his brother Steven, his sister Jeanmarie, his niece and goddaughter ToniAnn, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him. He is predeceased by his father Sal.
John was born on February 5, 1969 to Theresa and Sal. He was the most loving, big hearted, and funny person you could possibly have the pleasure of meeting. To meet John was to love him. There is nothing he loved more in life than his family and friends. At the age of 26 John received his greatest gift when he became a dad, and he truly lived up to the billing. The days he enjoyed the most were spent on the water fishing, and at the beach with family and friends. He had a passion for sports always celebrating wins of the Giants, Yankees, and Islanders. John’s favorite times were holidays, birthdays, barbeques, and any type of party that he can spend time with the people he loved. He loved to make people laugh even if it was at his own expense. John always took great joy in helping someone in need…he was the type of person to give you his shirt right off his back.
A huge hole has been left in the hearts of many, but heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Services to celebrate John’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home (424 S. Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY). The burial mass will be held on Wednesday January 5, 2022 at Our Lady of Assumption church in Copiague, NY. (1 Molloy Ave, Copiague, NY)
