Obituary for Joseph A. Deubel
Joe is survived by his wife Joyce Ruckert Deubel. Loving father to his children Anne (Eric) Deubel Bode, Kate Deubel and Melissa (Alex) Deubel Gonzalez. Grandfather to
Peter Joseph, Alyssa Rose, Alexandra Mercedes, and Keith Richard. His furry family includes Mandy, Shadow, Scrappy, Melanie, Boo, Maya, Minnie, Pringles, Tippy and Peanut.
He loved the feeling of recapturing his youth at amusement parks and giggled like a kid at Disney or Hershey when he met the characters.
Joe was the Chief Electrical Inspector and a partner at Long Island Electrical Inspectors, Inc. for the last 14 years. He was an encyclopedia of code and conducted ongoing training seminars.
His hobbies included bowling having achieved a number of 300 games and was an excellent woodworking craftsman.
This happened suddenly. The day after a regular visit, Joe's doctor called and said get to the hospital you need a blood transfusion. He felt fine but was actually very ill and had the doctors stumped. 18 days later they told him preliminary results were an aggressive and in his case untreatable leukemia called acute erythroid leukemia a rare type of AML. He was brought home and he passed the next morning surrounded by his daughters Kate and Anne and his furry extended family.
In lieu of flowers.. if you want to honor Joe, remember each moment is precious and take a moment to appreciate all that is important to you..
We are not asking for donations but the girls did create a memorial fund..
