Obituary for Joseph George Mayer III
Joseph Mayer, age 62, passed away on December 20, 2023 on the the Southern State Parkway.
Joe was born on December 16, 1961 in Manhasset, New York, to Joseph and Joan Mayer. Joe was a true New Yorker who lived for an adventure every day.
Joe loved Coney Island and hanging out at the Freak Bar. He knew every hidden gem in New York City. Joe loved riding motorcycles and viewing fireworks.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Lisa Mayer, his parents, Joseph and Joan Mayer, his sister, Debra Wilcox, his nephews, and many dear friends.
Joe especially will be remembered for riding his E-bike everywhere and anywhere. His love as a Google Map guide showed with countless pictures and views.
Visitation Friday, December 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parks Conservation Association at support.npca.org.
