Obituary for Kenneth C. Gentz

Kenneth C. Gentz was a Long Islander, born and bred. He grew up in Lindenhurst and eventually settled in Babylon where nothing could compete with the views of the bay. Before he got there, he studied at Brooklyn Prep, Boston College and then graduated from Fordham University. He was a successful business owner who was passionate about moving things around the country. He loved his work, making life-long friends along the way. He worked hard to provide for his family. Provide, however, does not properly convey the true kindness and pride that he showed the people he cared about. He was loyal and supportive and above all, generous. The only thing he loved more than work and giving back was his family and friends and spending time with them, especially at Christmas.
He is survived by his kids Kelly (Paul), K.C. and Ryan (Ali); his sister and brother, Pat (Tom) and Bob (Lauren); his granddaughters Emma (Adam), Jane, Claire (Jacob), Bryn, Sofia and great-grandson Brooks; sister-in-law Evelyn; niece Samantha; nephews Tim, Brandon, Cameron, Lance and Jason; many loving cousins; and his great love of more than 33 years Alice.
