Mary Ann was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 18, 1940. She married the love of her life John H Becker on July 3, 1960. She spent much of her adult life raising her four children in Lindenhurst. After her husband’s retirement from the New York City Fire Department, she and John moved to Bating Hollow where she was able to garden to her heart’s content. After her husband’s death in 2008 she moved to the Jacksonville Florida area where she discovered gambling (scratch offs) and QVC. She passed on September 19, 2022 after a long battle with medical illnesses.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, John. She is survived by her children John (Michel), Sue (Frank), Danny (Karina), and Linda (Drew). Her grandchildren Jennifer, Frankie (Maria), Merrisa (Sean), Stephanie (Chris), Jesse, John, Ashley, and Joseph. Great granddaughter Marlow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Mary Ann’s favorite charity.
