Mary Anne Campbell, mother of five children whom she loved fiercely, died unexpectedly on September 27, 2020, Sunday night. She was 59.
She was a loving mother who lived for her children - dedicating herself to bringing them up and in the process, becoming an expert in whatever was needed to help them - from medical treatments to school subjects like Earth Science and Chemistry. She is survived by her five children who loved her deeply in return - Joe, Christina (and her husband Thompson Lozier), Ryan, Sean, and Michael - and her brother, William Keegan.
Mary Anne Campbell was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 22, 1961 to William F. and Anne Keegan. She moved to Wantagh, NY as a child and it remained the place she always saw as home. While she also lived in Toms River, NJ and lslip, NY - she moved back to Wantagh almost a decade ago, until her untimely death.
She loved gardening, swimming, and dancing. She cared deeply for the vulnerable, those who were left behind, and the bullied - and was always willing to lend what support she had. She was a lifeguard and a nurse before dedicating herself to raising her children.
Many of her happiest moments were vacationing in the Poconos with her children - teaching them to swim, playing badminton, and sitting by the lake. Though she suffered much in her life, she found solace in her strong and abiding faith.
She was taken far too young. But that will not lessen the impact of her life. Those close to her will never forget her indomitable will and her fierce and undying love.
In honor of Mary Anne's devotion to children, in lieu of flowers, we would love for you to make donations to www.childrensdefense.org. Please email rememberMaryAnne@jwcampbe.com for more information on the service or information on the live stream of the funeral service we will be setting up.
