Obituary for Matthew DeCarmine
Matthew L. DeCarmine, 74, of Lindenhurst N.Y. on January 12,2022
Beloved brother of Frank (Pat), Mary (Ed), Nancy and Patricia.
Cherished Uncle of Maryellen, Mary Patricia, Edward Ill, Arthur,Jonathan, Jason, Alana
and Mackenzie. Great Uncle of 13, and Great Great Uncle of 1.
Matthew was a 1965 graduate of Lindenhurst High School. Matt, being a patriot, enlisted in
the U.S. Army and served for 2 years, before being honorably discharged in 1968.
He was an avid classic car enthusiast, and owned a 1931 Plymouth, and a 1955 Thunderbird.
When not working, Matt could always be found either tinkering with his cars or helping others with theirs.
On snowy days, you could find Matt plowing his neighbors' driveways with his Blazer and plow.
He loved being helpful. His career was as an over the road truck driver for Eletto Transfer of Long Island City.
He loved seeing all parts of America on his journeys.
He will be missed by all that knew him.
