Obituary for Patricia Ann "Patty" Rodriguez
Sunrise October 19th 1943 – Sunset December 20th 2023
All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my Angel Mother.
” “We are born of Love; Love is our mother.” When you look into your mothers’ eyes, you know that it is the Dearest Love you can find on the earth.” A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”
Patricia Rodriguez, known to all as “Patty” departed peacefully at home on December 20th, 2023, at 7:29 p.m. after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. With her family and pitbull “Bandit” right before her. Patricia was married for 52 years to the love of her life Joe and had two children together, Joseph and Danielle. She was known for having a smile that would brighten any room and an ear always available to listen. For almost 20 years she worked at Lindenhurst High School and was loved, protected, and respected by all the kids who attended. She was their friend, their mentor and the one they often came to during their most troublesome times to seek the best advice, but most importantly to have someone listen. Without fear of being judged that is who Patty was. She had an ability to teach by example to lighten any care by just being her. Everyone she touched realized just how blessed they were to have encountered someone so special and so remarkable. She carried Light in her smile and love in her bones. As a mother and wife, she was the anchor that always held them together. She offered unconditional love. She was the mother who fought right beside her children, never turning her back, not even an inch. She understood “life didn’t come with a manual it comes with a mother” She taught her family to give generously. Live joyfully and to love with everything you’ve got. Her touch smoothed away all their cares and her love got them through anything life brought their way, and the messages and love she taught will forever guide and keep her family solely going on. She will forever be the Queen of their hearts, the love of their lives, and the reason half their hearts no longer beat.

A funeral service in memory of Patricia will be held on Wednesday December 27th, 2023, from 7p.m.- 9p.m. at Lindenhurst Funeral Home 424 South Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY. Mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday December 28th, 2023, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church, 210 Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst. Burial will be beside her loved parents at Saint Charles Cemetery.
