Pat Dougherty, a woman who was a second mother to me and my siblings. I have so many fond memories of you from my childhood. You were the best. From teaching me how to swim, letting me use your pool when ours was not usable, letting me swing on the tree swing, play with the bunnies, giving me your daughter's old clothing (that I LOVED GETTING cause they were so cool), the extra candy you'd give me on Halloween, the list goes on and on. One memory that has always stuck with me and always will, you told me to always spend my Birthday money on me, on something I wanted, and I always will, I'll never forget you telling me that, it might seem silly, but it meant a lot to hear and I'll never forget it. I can hear your fun and happy laugh from across the street and when I close my eyes I can still hear it. You and my mom were so close, both of our families were. Over the years, distance separated us, but you were always thought of and always in our hearts. I'm so grateful that I was able to reconnect with you 2 years ago on a trip up. You were such a fun loving person who cherished her family and friends. I don't have a childhood memory without you in it, and for that I am forever grateful. Prairie Lane will never be the same. I pray and know that you will be resting well in God's kingdom.
