Obituary for Robert G. Donalds
Robert G. Donalds passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023 at the Long Island State Veterans Home at Stony Brook, NY.
Born in Auburn, NY on February 4, 1931, Robert joined the United States Air Force and proudly served before joining the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by 5 nephew and nieces and 12 great-nephew and nieces.
Known to those closest to him as Bob, he was a true Proud Marine. Bob enjoyed talking about his time in the military and sharing stories. As an animal lover, you could find him feeding the wildlife in his backyard.
Pre-deceased by his brother John (US Army Ret. CW2) and sister-in-law Florence (US Army Sgt.).
Bob was laid to rest on August 22, 2023 at Calverton National Cemetery on Long Island with full United States Marine Corps military honors, close to where John and his wife Florence are laid to rest.
He will be missed by all who loved him and will never be forgotten. We miss you, Uncle Bob. Til we see each other again, play with all the doggies at the Rainbow Bridge. We love you. Semper Fi.
