Obituary for Theodore Michael Koziarz

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our kind, brave, caring, and generous father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Theodore Michael Koziarz on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the age of 84. He was born, raised, and lived in NY, proudly served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960 and went on to a successful career with New York Telephone, which eventually became Verizon, as the Manager of National Security Emergency Preparedness.

He loved his time in the military, his work, his friends, and hobbies including fishing and hunting, but his main joy was his family! He was devoted to taking care of us and giving us his love so that we might become stronger, better human beings while we are on this earth. His stories, oh, his stories, will remain in our memories forever.

He was born on July 27, 1938, to Anthony and Louise (Puwalski) Koziarz. After his father was tragically killed by a motor vehicle while working in 1940, his mother remarried Anthony Anastasi, who became stepfather to him and older brother, Edward Koziarz. He is predeceased by his parents and wonderful brother Ed, who he was immensely proud of.

He is survived by his children Karen Molano, Ted Koziarz (Vikki) and Matthew Koziarz (Dawn) and his grandchildren, Kristi Murray (Josh), Zachary Molano, Michael Koziarz, and Julia Molano who all have their own special memories of their time with him.

Service will be held this Sunday, April 23rd, at the Lindenhurst Funeral Home, 424 Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY 11757 from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the American Cancer Society or Disabled Veterans of America. He will be buried, with honors, at Calverton National Cemetery, a wish that he held since he served our great nation.
