Obituary for Vincent S. Alduino

Vincent S. Alduino April 8, 1932 - January 1, 2021 - age 88, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021, after a long illness.

Vinnie, as he was fondly referred to, was born in Brooklyn, NY, and settled in Lindenhurst in 1963, where he resided until his death. He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Edna, as well as his sister, Loretta Calandriello. He is survived by his four daughters, Jean Andersen (Steven), Janice Scanziani (Robert), Doria Smith (James) and Andrea Pepino (Dennis), and his devoted companion of 17 years, Anne Dean Taylor.

He was Poppy to 12 grandchildren and Great Poppy to 15 great grandchildren, and was blessed with the love of many extended family and friends. He was beloved Uncle to all his nieces and nephews.


Vinnie was an active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lindenhurst.

Vinnie began working as a Lineman for NY Telephone (NYNEX) in 1952 and retired in 1989 as a Course Instructor. His passions included building and flying his many model airplanes, woodworking, trips and events with his family, and traveling the world with Anne.

He touched many lives, even those who knew him only briefly, with his witty humor and genuine love for all.
